Our School Ranking Standardized testing is one way of validating the successful learning that students are accomplishing. While it in no way should be used as the only gauge for learning, it is one important aspect that serves as an indicator. Suburban Bethlehem is accredited by the State of Indiana. As such, we meet and exceed the academic guidelines set down by the State Board of Education. Our ISTEP scores have been equal to, and above, the schools districts in the state that have the reputation of providing quality education. While, on the average, 85% to 90% of our students exceed the standards of the ISTEP tests, we still believe we have plenty of room to grow. Until such time when all of our students know every bit of information required, we have work to be done. See our ISTEP percentages below. We also use the Northwest Evaluation Association testing program with our students in grades 2-8 twice each year. This test enables us to chart their growth and evaluate their progress and is coordinated with the ISTEP tests.
